What makes this Guatemala bean unique is the processing. The beans are fermented in sealed bags for up to 24 hours. They are picked early in the morning, placed in the bags and taken out the next afternoon. Meanwhile, the natural bacteria does its magic and ferments the berries on the beans, gifting this bean its jammy sweetness and body.
Finca La Bolsa was founded by Jorge Fides and is now run in the third generation of the family. They pay special attention to the fight against child labour and improving the quality of life of their employees and the surrounding communities. There's even a school that runs in the grounds of the estate for the workers children and other kids of the area.
This coffee is a clea, balanced and full bodied experience. in the aroma you might discover red grapes, apple and citruc. Notes include cashew nuts, dark chocolate and cane sugary sweetness.
