Guatemala, at the Vides family farm La Bolsa. If you have been with us on this coffee ride for any time at all you will certainly have had some of these La Bolsa coffees before. The Vides family has been farming the La Bolsa land since 1958 and the modern version is better every year. Their focus on supporting their workers like a family, caring for the land that brings these delicious coffees and a quality standard that is at the top of the industry, means that the coffee is always great. One of my favorites over the last few years has been these lots from the El Buho plot, which is located in Las Terrazas, which is an area of the farm way up high on one of the mountains that surrounds the property. Juicy, full bodied, fruity and blessed with the amazing stone fruit flavors that come from the biodiversity and the deep limestone rich soil that covers the slopes where the coffee grows.
